PostSubject: 12 weeks   Tue 27 Jul 2010, 6:29 pm

I had my 12 week scan and Consultant appointment yesterday and everything was great!

The baby was jumping around, scratching his/her knees and waving at us, such a lively baby, it was so lovely and such a relief that everything is looking ok for now.

The Consultant appointment was really positive too. It was the head Consultant and he basically asked me how often I wanted to be seen, which was great. So from 20 weeks I'll be seen at least once a week and fortnightly by him personally. He said if I have any concerns that my midwife (who I'll be seeing weekly) can't answer, or the answer doesn't seem satisfactory to phone his secretary and he'll ring me straight back. He also arranged for me to have a doppler scan at a different hospital as they don't do them at mine and discussed the plan for monitoring me for HELLP.

Although he was a different Consultant from the one we dealt with last time (she's on holiday) and very cautious about discussing outcomes and how long the pregnancy would progress, I do feel a bit more reassured (after quite a few break downs last week!), the hospital and everyone seem to be bending over backwards which is reassuring. Now just another 27 weeks to go Wink

Hope everyone is well
Emma

Hi Emmie,

So glad everything is going well for you, long may it continue.

Sounds as if they are giving you really good care.

Take care

That's great news! Really pleased for you! I've got my 20 week scan in the morning...I can't believe how quickly these pregnancies are going!
