PostSubject: Had our first hospital appt   Sat 29 May 2010, 9:56 am

We didnt see our consultant we saw a registrar (i think) but she was well informed of my history and she was lovely! She was more concerned over the fact i had an EMCS than the PE!

Basically they dont want to see me again until 26weeks which they are going to scan me and do the doppler then, as of tuesday i have to see my GP once a week & my MW once a week to do BP and urine checks, this will be charted ready for me to give to the hospital on my next visit. Have to carry on taking the aspirin until 34weeks........ im 20 + 3 but measuring 22weeks, hes big for his dates and he'll be very long ive been told! Thats reasuring as they always told me Alex was 2 weeks behind, so i presume the aspirin is doing its job! They will decide at 26weeks whether or not to give me steroids too.

If i get any concerns they've told me to contact Day Assesment Unit instead of my GP/MW (even though im under 24weeks) as i expessed concern over the care ive received from them both so far, which is good, made me feel better Smile

My BP was 130/70 and they said the top number was higher than my usual but thats because i was nervous (they could see this quite clearly!) and they were fine with that and my urine was clear Smile

So all in all im happy, still not 100% (nearly though) but then i wont be until im sat at home at 28weeks still pregnant, never happy me huh? lol

Hi Becky,

Im glad the appointment went well. I agree with the BP result - more than likely it is anxiety...but glad it will be kept an eye on!

I hope to hear you moaning in another 15 weeks that you are huge!!!!

Warm wishes
Liz
